Karma
Karma, that wonderful law of cause and effect, action and reaction, as you give so shall you receive.
This is not just about doing charitable works. It has to do with how we think and act in everyday life. Our thoughts have real energy and power. When expressed as words and actions they have great impact upon other people and situations.
Esoteric writings tell us that thoughts are real, they have energy. When we feel intensely and focus our energy and intent via our thoughts towards another person we are sending them that energy. The energy, programmed by our intent, creates what is called a thought form which goes to the other person and puts into effect our intent. When the thought form reaches the other person they are affected by it – if our intent is good then they will feel good, if our intent is bad they will feel bad.
Maybe we could avoid much pain to ourselves and others if we considered this in the light of the law of cause and effect – “As we give so do we receive.†I think I will work on creating positive, loving thought forms, the kind I would like to receive….
Many people view Karma as punishment, it is not. Instead I see it is an impartial universal law letting us know that what we are doing is out of harmony with universal law. The more we avoid or resist returning to universal law, the harder the lessons become. If we keep sending out negative energy it will in due course rebound upon us. We can learn the lesson and stop creating it in the first place.
